I am 30.

Embracing 30!

Beautifully Waiting

I did something drastic on my 30th. I had my hair trimmed short. Well, it should have been more short but the stylist told me it’s too drastic. So, I let him decide for the length. (Pixie, short hairstyle became an “in” thing recently.) And so here it is…

changeIt felt so light and really refreshing! heheheh…

I don’t look 30, right? 🙂

But I’m grateful to even reach 30. It’s a blessing to be able to live 30 years. Just imagine living another 30 years, really long right? Life is indeed a blessing. But to live a fruitful life is much much more. And I owe everything to God who truly has been faithful in allowing me to live an abundant and fruitful 30 years.

The best gift God has given me this year is the opportunity to go back to Canada and start a new life there. It is…

Waiting Over

Yes, I’m back! I’m an employee again. 🙂

It’s been an amazing journey with the Lord as I entrusted to Him the work that He has prepared for me. I really prayed that I would be able to find a job within the first month that I arrived here in Vancouver. However, I never wanted to settle for just any job. I just had to trust that God would honor my desire to work for a role that I really wanted.

It had been in the third week of June and I still didn’t have possible job offers. All I got were initial interviews and emails. Then, no more follow ups. Until the right time came. I re-connected with a former colleague here in Canada and just mentioned that I was looking for a job. After that conversation, everything happened so fast. He spoke to his manager that I was looking for a BA role which they needed in their team because someone just left. I submitted my resume and went for an interview the next day. Then the week after, I got the job offer. The best part, they gave me a senior role and a pay which was more than I asked for.

However, these things were not really a surprise to me. I always knew that God would always do something amazing. He always does. Even if some people would tell me that a month is too short to find a job, I just trusted that God would provide within the month. As I reflected on this journey, I realized that my faith was much deeper during this time as I waited on God’s provision.  At some point in my life, I became very disobedient and I know that I have missed out a lot of blessings because of that. I’m just grateful that God is so gracious and loving that He gave me so many chances to become better. God showed to me the result of my obedience and that is His best plan for me.  I became more expectant in faith than I was before.  This journey was more of seeing how much I’ve grown in faith as I continue to experience God’s best.

Such faith excites me each day as to what could God possibly do. Experiencing God through obedience may always not be an easy path to take. However, taking a path that is outside of God’s plan for us will be more difficult in the long run. God’s way is always, always, always worth to take.

I’m looking forward to another journey of something that I’ve really been praying for. Waiting is over, another waiting starts.

To God be all the glory!

Making the Most

So many amazing things happened for the past two weeks.  Hopefully, I could really sit down and write about it.

For now, I just want to share the awesome vacation I had with my best friend and her family in Alberta. Before I went back to working again, I decided to spend my last week at my friend’s. I will never be able to spend a long week with them so I have to make the most when I can. I took the long bus trips going to and from Calgary via Greyhound. It wasn’t that bad considering that I was really able to save a lot in my fare.

It was my first time visiting their new home in Cochrane and I must say I really liked the town. I also got the chance to see Canmore which is very beautiful. You can clearly see the Rocky Mountain from there. They have this cute little town as well.

But the most favorite part of my vacation was to be able to spend time with my friend and her family. Her two kids are my godchildren. It was an awesome week with them – playing, doing story telling, strolling, etc. Amazing time!

I just can’t wait to see them again as they come over to Vancouver by end of this month. Just grateful to see an old friend in this side of the world. 🙂

Launch of “princesspepay.com”

I was so motivated today to work on my blog site seriously. I’ve always wanted to buy my own domain but I just kept on delaying it because I felt like I won’t be able to sustain it in terms of my time to regularly update the site.

My friend, Anne and I have been planning to do small workshops for those who want to start their own free blog sites but don’t know how to start building it. Yesterday, we did our sort of pilot workshop to one of Anne’s friend, Verna as she wanted to start her own  Word press site.

Both of them were so passionate in putting up their site to share their craft and experiences. And that’s what inspired me. I needed that contagious spirit to make me go back to one of the things I love to do, which is to write.

And so, I’m re-launching my something old, something new website – princesspepay.com.

All the details are in the About pages.

Welcome! Enjoy!
