I’m grateful that I decided to do work from home today. The traffic tonight was very heavy that people got stuck for more than 2 hours in a very short distance.
Our country has two seasons only, dry and wet. And this is the time of the year that rainy season is starting. And here in Metro Manila, if it rains, people just forget how to to drive. Traffic is just unbearable. Flood on some parts of the main roads, drivers who don’t want to give way, and infrastructure work which are ongoing are the reasons why every year, when it rains so hard, traffic becomes a huge problem. Well, even if it’s not raining.
I don’t know when this problem will be resolved in Metro Manila. Every year, same problem is occurring. I’m not blaming anyone because I believe all of us are responsible for something.
I just hope that one day, rain or shine, traffic will always be moderate.
Just wishful thinking. U_U
Today was really refreshing day! Praise God for today!
I attended a women’s conference in my church with the theme, A Time of Refreshing. Indeed, I was refreshed! It’s about forgetting the past and reclaiming the future. I liked what the speaker, Ms. Anne Chan said, that we should let go of our past because God will rewrite it and make us anew. Such a comfort knowing that God never looks at our past. 🙂 And as we learn to let go of our past, we learn to reclaim a future that is hopeful and much better.
Just tonight, I also watched the movie Samurai X with friends. And funny that the movie was also about forgetting the past and choosing to be better. Kenshin, the main character has killed a lot in his past and after ten years came back with a new conviction. He was changed, reclaiming for a better future for the coming generation.
Isn’t God so amazing? He tells us not to dwell in our past. It’s never easy to forgot the past but it is more difficult to live in the present if we couldn’t let go of our past that hinders us to be better and not bitter.
All glory to God for changed hearts!
I’m not a risk-taker person. I always want to make sure that I’m making the right choice.
But not these past days. I got carried away with excitement and false hope.
I fell into a scam in which my brother became a victim, because also of my poor judgment.
I’m never good with taking risks. But more than that, I believe I failed to listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit as well.
I just followed what I felt was good at that time without really thinking and praying deeply.
Well, lesson learned.
I’m just glad still because I know God is in control and there will always be consequences to their actions.
God will vindicate for us.
When I was in Canada, the earliest I would go home is usually around 5:30pm. One of the things that I miss when I got back here in Manila.
Fortunately, I’m on training today until tomorrow. And the schedule is 8am to 530pm.
It’s been a long time (like years!) that I went home from work by 530pm. When I went out from the building, there’s still sun! Haha! I miss going home this early. With 9-12 hours of work a day, today and tomorrow are just once in a blue moon moments.
Oh well, I’m just glad I went home early today 🙂
After the worship service at CCF, Nong Iman, Kim and I directly went to Podium Mall. Our schedule was to watch Step Up Revolution then dinner at Yakimix Eat All You Can Restaurant.
I’m a frustrated dancer (I must say). I love watching movies about dancing but I’ve never really danced. I’m not really sure I know how. But anyway, I’m a fan of Step Up movies and so I wouldn’t want to miss the new one. I must say, this is my so far favorite Step Up movie. The Mob themed movie really leveled up. My favorite mob dances were the ones at the art gallery and at the office building. Really cool! 😀
After the movie, we went to Yakimix for our dinner. I’ve been craving for Japanese rolls and Korean bbq. Yakimix was just the right place to satisfy those cravings. Jaja and Ebur joined us. We started at 5:30pm and went out from the place around 9pm. Haha!
I can’t wait to try another eat all you can place which they said is also good. Next time when my cravings will go back. For now, I need to finish my tea! 🙂
Full and happy Sunday. 🙂
