It doesn’t matter

One thing I am grateful for social media is it allows me to see the world. I see vacation posts, heartbreaking stories, inspiring stories, government updates, economic news,  parenting tips, etc. You name it.

Though, whatever I read or see triggers different thoughts and emotions in me. I would wish I can go for a vacation also. Or, I wish I could help. Or, I get disapppointed. Or, I want to encourage too.

But when all of those thoughts and emotions pass, I would ALWAYS be reminded of God’s Word. “Set your mind on things above and not on earthly things.” I always ask the question, “Does it really matter to God?”

…if I go or not go for a vacation?

…if the whole world does not know my own little acts of kindness?

…if I live in a country with economic problems?

…if I can only inspire one or two compared to others who can inspire the world?

…if I don’t ever become a parent?

God’s answer to me, “The Lord DELIGHTS in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.”‭‭ Psalm‬ ‭147:11‬

That’s what matters to God. How I honor Him, fear Him, love Him. The condition of my heart is really what matters to God. I should never measure the worth of my life by earthly things. And I can only do this if I have Jesus in my life, His Son whom He is well pleased.

Visiting the Greeks

The four places in my bucket list that I really want to visit are: Santorini, Paris, Israel and South Korea.

For my solo travel, it’s Santorini.

When I get married, it will be Paris. (very optimistic of the married thing, haha!)

With my parents, it will be Israel.

With anyone, I can bring them to South Korea. Not for free though. Haha!

This year, I’m praying and hoping that I will be able to visit Santorini. Thinking of going there on my birthday week on April.

Not sure if it’s the best time, but weather seems really nice. It’s like summer in Vancouver. But I hope it won’t be rainy.

I’m thinking of touring a day or two in Athens and Corinth, then spend the rest of my trip in Santorini.

Agggggh!! I’m so excited!

Any suggestions for my first ever solo trip?????

Can’t wait!!!

I checked these photos on their trip on April and the weather is really beautiful.

Making the Most

So many amazing things happened for the past two weeks.  Hopefully, I could really sit down and write about it.

For now, I just want to share the awesome vacation I had with my best friend and her family in Alberta. Before I went back to working again, I decided to spend my last week at my friend’s. I will never be able to spend a long week with them so I have to make the most when I can. I took the long bus trips going to and from Calgary via Greyhound. It wasn’t that bad considering that I was really able to save a lot in my fare.

It was my first time visiting their new home in Cochrane and I must say I really liked the town. I also got the chance to see Canmore which is very beautiful. You can clearly see the Rocky Mountain from there. They have this cute little town as well.

But the most favorite part of my vacation was to be able to spend time with my friend and her family. Her two kids are my godchildren. It was an awesome week with them – playing, doing story telling, strolling, etc. Amazing time!

I just can’t wait to see them again as they come over to Vancouver by end of this month. Just grateful to see an old friend in this side of the world. 🙂

Visiting Pampanga

It’s my first time to visit my Tito’s family (my father’s younger brother) here in Pampanga. My uncle invited me and my other cousin to come over since it is his daughter’s graduation and just to really bond.

It’s a nice getaway from my currently uncertain-filled life in Manila. Good also to spend time as they will be migrating to the US in the next two weeks. Never know when we could see each other again.

Making the Most in Boracay

Beautifully Waiting

After December holidays, the next season that people look forward to is summer.

Beach, beach and beach!

There are a lot of nice places in the Philippines where you can find really beautiful beach – clear water and white sand. You just have to take your pick as to what fits your budget.

If you pick Boracay, I suggest you really start saving to make the most of your stay. I know that when we go to the beach, we just really want to relax and enjoy the ocean. However, you can do those things in a beach near your city. So when you go to Boracay, might as well enjoy all the fun stuff. Save and go with a group!

Here are the things which I really enjoyed during my stay.

Parasailing – The best experience!! It was a bit pricey but if you really love being up…
